What you’ll do

  • Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, procedures, and programs that align with organizational objectives and comply with legal requirements.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the HR team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and development planning, to foster a high-performance culture.
  • Stay updated on Tanzania labour laws, regulations, and industry best practices
  • Facilitates professional development opportunities for employees
  • Oversees employee relations, including handling grievances and disciplinary processes
  • Collaborates with senior leadership to develop workforce plans and talent management strategies to address current and future organisational needs
  • Ensures timely and successful completion of projects within budget and scope
  • Prepares regular reports on HR metrics to provide insights into the workforce and HR performance
  • Lead and manage the recruitment, selection, and onboarding process to attract and hire talented professionals.
  • Design and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and competencies, and identify and develop high-potential employees for future leadership roles.

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in HR roles, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of Tanzania employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and decision-making abilities.
