We’re on the lookout for an experienced HR Lead to be based in Tanzania who will partner with the business to ensure operational effectiveness and optimal management of the human capital in the business within the South East Africa cluster.
This role with deliver and overall compliance and provide functional leadership to the international HR community.
As an HR Lead for South-East Africa cluster you will be responsible for:
- Systems and Administration across Business Units: Implement and assist with the development of HR Systems, Policies and Procedures within the cluster.
- Manage all cluster payroll related matters i.e. IOD’s, death and funeral claims, stop pays and other related matters
- Capacity planning and employment: review recruitment procedures within respective cluster and provide feedback for improvement.
- Analyse and determine East Africa capacity requirements.
- Organisational Development: facilitate TNA according to Group L&D requirements.
- Management of Employee Relations: ensure knowledge of and adherence to ER procedures, policies and legislation.
- Draft relevant policies, procedures, and standards
Required Skills:
- Excellent MS Suite skills
- Strong organisational skills
- Project Management skills or experience advantageous
- Team leader and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment but also to self-management own area of responsibility
- Knowledge of labour Legislations in Tanzania
- String learning abilities for developing and understandin the labour legislation in Mauritius and Mozambique
- Exceptional ability to develop and maintain stakeholder relationships
- Reporting and appying data
What are we looking for?
- To qualify for this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Minimum Qualifications: Higher Diploma in HR Management/Relevant Degree
- Minimum Experience: 6-8 years generalist experience covering the broad area of the job, preferably in a service related or FMCG environment.
- Excellent MS Suite skills
- Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labour relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems
- Coaching skills
- Computer literacy – MS office suite, excel
- Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) knowledge
- Organisational management skills
- Communication skills (verbal & written)
