Human Resources/Industrial Relations (HR/IR) Lead – TZ

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR/IR systems and strategies, aligning them with the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Create and update core processes such as the HR/IR Policy Manual, ensuring alignment with EACOP requirements.
  • Lead the recruitment and demobilization strategy, working closely with management to meet departmental needs.
  • Establish a robust recruitment process and oversee its implementation, potentially with the assistance of external HR contractors.
  • Organize and facilitate mobilization and demobilization meetings for both internal and contracted employees.
  • Support the implementation of training and capacity-building plans for workers and sub-contractors.
  • Manage the development and implementation of an HR Information System that complies with national legislative frameworks.
  • Ensure the efficient retention and confidentiality of all HR documents while streamlining processes and eliminating duplication.
  • Contribute to the preparation and issuance of reports required by management and EACOP.
  • Actively participate in consultative meetings with local and expatriate staff.
  • Define and coordinate regular medical examinations within the project, ensuring the necessary level of confidentiality in handling health information.

Qualification and experience

  • 10 years in HR administration with at least 5 years as HR team manager in a company of at least 150 employees
  • Proven experience as an HR/IR professional, preferably in the oil and gas industry or a related field.
    Strong knowledge of HR/IR systems, strategies, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with EACOP requirements and relevant national legislative frameworks.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in HR information systems and software.
  • Relevant certifications or qualifications in HR/IR are preferred.
