About CCBRT

CCBRT is Tanzania’s largest local provider of disability, rehabilitation, and specialized healthcare services. Operating as a healthcare social enterprise, CCBRT empowers individuals with disabilities, provides maternal and newborn healthcare (MNHC), performs obstetric fistula repairs, and runs a referral center for high-risk emergency deliveries in the Eastern Zone.

Role Summary

CCBRT is seeking a motivated Medical Doctor to join as a Health Volunteer within the Clinical Division. The role involves delivering general practitioner services, facilitating early disability detection and prevention, conducting clinical routines, and assisting with surgical and outreach programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Clinical Care: Examine and treat patients across outpatient and inpatient departments, run scheduled clinics, and conduct patient screenings.

• Ward & Surgical Duties: Admit patients to wards, prepare surgical operation lists, handle minor surgical procedures, and assist senior surgeons during major operations.

• Patient Management: Provide regular condition updates to Senior Medical Doctors and Specialists for patients scheduled for discharge.

• Outreach & Shifts: Participate in community outreach activities and work rotational shifts, including night duties and weekends.

Candidate Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from a recognized institution with a minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.7.

• Internship & Experience: Successful completion of a 1-year internship, plus 1 year of post-internship work experience with a reputable organization.

• Medical Registration: Registered as a Medical Doctor with the Tanganyika Medical Council with a valid practitioner license.

• Skills: Proficient in English and Swahili (written and verbal), computer literate, with strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities.

• Attributes: Client-focused, proactive attitude, eager to learn, and prepared for shift-based on-call work.
