Summary:

Responsible for overall IT operations in the country. Ensures that the country’s IT systems, integrations, and networks are running smoothly and efficiently.

Manage relationships with local IT vendors to ensure that services are delivered as per signed contracts and SLAs. Works with global IT team to implement new systems and applications, and to ensure that the country’s IT systems and networks are compliant with all applicable standards and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the IT department in the country
• Ensure the uptime and performance of the country’s IT systems, integrations and networks
• Manage vendor relationships
• Provide technical support to users
• Manage IT budget
• Works with the global IT team to implement new systems and applications
• Ensure that IT systems and networks are compliant with all applicable standards and regulations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in IT management
• Experience in managing IT budgets
• Experience in working with Mobile Money, Internet, SMS and VAS vendors
• Experience in implementing and managing IT systems and networks
• Experience in ensuring IT compliance with all applicable standards and regulations
