Job Description

China Dasheng Bank Ltd is a fully -fledged commercial bank licenced by the Bank of Tanzania bank in November 2018. The Bank is going to celebrate its 4th anniversary on 25th, November 2022 and we take pride to share that for all four years since its inception, the bank has been growing and making profit. Currently the bank is operating under two branches, one is located along Samora Avenue and the other one Kariakoo.

Job title: Head of Business Development at China Dasheng Bank Ltd

Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer

Location: Dar Es Salaam

Duration: 3yrs

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership in the overall growth and profitability of the bank
  • Drive profitable revenue and volume growth with a focus on new acquisition, deepening of existing customer relationships and cross selling.
  • Promote deposit and asset growth (Balance Sheet Growth)
  • Maintaining and enhancing current customer’s relationship.
  • Identifying customer’s needs and respond effectively and timely.
  • Promote bank’s brand and image through improved customer’s experience.
  • Initiate and collaborate with channels product and functional teams to identify and develop product solutions and bundles to meet the needs of the customers.
  • Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives.
  • Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events to enhance bank’s visibility/brand.
  • Formulating goals for the business development team and ensuring the goals are met.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with the development and implementation of sales initiatives with other departments to maximize on cross-selling opportunities.
  • Responsible for market leading value proposition, branding and communication
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by CEO.

Required Education & Experience

  • Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Commerce or equivalent from a recognized Institution
  • 10 years relevant working experience 4 of which must be at Senior Managerial level.
  • Proven working experience as a business development manager retail and corporate, meeting sales targets, bank product sales etc.
  • Proven sales track record
  • Excellent leadership skills and teamwork
  • Experience in customer support is a plus
  • Market knowledge
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build rapport
  • Time management and planning skills
  • Exceptional organization skills and a strong work ethic
