About the Role

Geita Gold Mining Ltd is seeking a dedicated Graduate Engineer – UG Drill & Blast to join the Underground Mining team. The role focuses on supporting daily drill and blast schedules, preparing technical charge plans/drill designs, ensuring QA/QC compliance, and upholding strict safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operations & Planning: Assist with daily drill and blast schedules, reports, charge plans, and drill designs per production targets.

  • Safety & Compliance: Participate in weekly/monthly explosive store inspections and statutory safety reporting in alignment with GGML environmental policies.

  • Data & Audits: Oversee QA/QC data collection, stope note inputs, and site audits.

  • Technical Execution: Support electronic blasting preparations and collaborate with the Senior Engineer on progress reporting.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Mining Engineering.

  • Certifications: Valid Blasting Certificate and Valid Driving License.

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year in underground drill and blast operations (mechanized mining experience preferred).

  • Key Skills: Working knowledge of underground haulage, drill design principles, autonomous decision-making, and strong data management.
