Job Overview

The job involves the provision of an essential link between the company’s asset location data and stakeholders. This is facilitated through the installation and monitoring of GPS trackers, tracking databases and software. GPS Tracking Officer is expected to perform timely duties with utmost integrity, accuracy and punctuality while maintaining the highest level of professionalism.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Maintaining the GPS tracker database; manual processing of the replaced, recovered and removed trackers in respective database locations, preparing top up lists for sim cards in tracking devices and submitting to the service providers, processing and seclusion of closed loans as well as organizing for physical replacement of malfunctioned trackers.
Be a Supervisor and acts as a link between GPS technicians to the Senior Management
Overseeing the GPS team, leading, guiding, coaching and mentoring to ensure development
Conducting performance appraisals in collaboration with the HR department before calibration
Providing technical assistance to recovery personnel and technicians in line with location access and GPS tracker installation respectively.
Handling the 24/7 emergency line for stolen and lost assets and aiding in recovery of these reported assets in coordinated shifts.
Preparation of GPS trackers for installation (scanning, testing, configuration, matching) and weekly dispatch to various countrywide branches.
Keeping accurate GPS tracker and related supplies stock records and forwarding projected weekly departmental expenses to the finance department.
Evaluating and preparing insurance claims reports for lost assets.
Physically installing, replacing or removing trackers from different motorcycle models when required to.

Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of science (Engineering, Forensics, Statistics, IT, Database Management etc.)
2 – 3 years minimal experience in a related field, previous experience with a supervisory role is an added advantage.
Strong leadership, interpersonal skills and ability to work harmoniously in an organization with diverse business operations, with ability to manage people under minimal supervision.
Attention to detail, accuracy, integrity and a strong self-drive working under minimal supervision with high levels of professionalism.
Practical ability to install GPS trackers in different automobiles i.e., motorcycles, tuk tuks and vehicles are an added advantage.
Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities, able to effectively deal with people at all levels inside and outside of the Company
