Position: Spa Manager

Division: Rooms Division

Reports to: Assistant Director of Rooms

Purpose

To clearly define the duties, responsibilities, expectations, and standards required for the role of the Spa Manager. This role combines leadership, customer service excellence, team development, and business management within a high-end hospitality environment.

Key Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Oversee daily Spa operations, including treatment rooms, relaxation areas, and wellness facilities, as well as Fitness facilities and Boutique Retail operations,
  • Ensure that all products and services meet the standards of luxury synonymous with the Four Seasons brand and with guest expectations,
  • Maintain all standards of cleanliness, hygiene and safety, in compliance with the highest local and international health regulations, in all areas of the Spa, Fitness and Retail operations,
  • Manage Spa scheduling, reservations, and service flow efficiently through the Book4Time,
  • Deliver a personalized, world-class guest experience,
  • Handle guest feedback, concerns, and glitches related to Spa, Fitness and Boutique in a prompt and professional manner, in person or through any relevant platform such Qualtrics,
  • Develop unique, location appropriate wellness offerings aligned with luxury market trends,
  • Build strong relationships with repeat and VIP guests,
  • Ensure GoldenExp is updated with appropriate comments and is actively used to personalize the guest stay,
  • Recruit, train, and supervise Therapists, Receptionists, and Spa Attendants,
  • Ensure that the Routines of Service Excellence checklists are consistently followed,
  • Conduct performance evaluations and on-the-job staff training, including Benchmark Standard Testing,
  • Foster a positive, motivated, and service-oriented team culture,
  • Ensure staff adhere to grooming and professional standards,
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for the Spa department and the Boutique Retail operations,
  • Monitor revenue, expenses, and profitability of Spa and Boutique Retail operations, adjusting in accordance with business trends,
  • Promote the upselling of Spa and Wellness experiences, as well as Spa Retail sales,
  • Manage inventory levels for Spa products as well the retail products and equipment,
  • Develop relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery of goods and services,
  • Closely manage stock inventor and control usage to minimize waste,
  • Ensure all equipment and facilities in the Spa, Fitness Center and Boutique are well maintained, clean, and fully operational,
  • Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all guests using the Fitness facilities,
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to promote Spa services and packages, and develop seasonal promotions,
  • Analyze market trends and competitor offerings,
  • Ensure that the Mobile App, IPTV and online content is up-to-date and accurate at all times.

Performance Indicators:

  • Growth and improvement in GES (Guest Satisfaction) scores and comments through the guest feedback platforms including but not limited to, direct feedback, Qualtrics, Tripadvisor and any other relevant channels,
  • Growth and improvement in Spa and Boutique revenues and profitability,
  • Growth and improvement in Departmental EES (Employee Satisfaction) scores,
  • Growth and improvement in LQA (Leading Quality Assurance) scores,
  • Improvement in overall team behavior and on-the-job performance.

Skills Required:

  • A Bachelors Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or another related field (preferred),
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in Spa or Hospitality Management, preferably in a luxury setting or environment,
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills,
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities,
  • Solid financial and business acumen,
  • Knowledge of spa treatments, wellness trends, and luxury service standards,
  • Proficiency in spa management software Book4Time and Microsoft Office.
