Position Overview:
A respected healthcare facility in Dar es Salaam is seeking a Finance Officer to support the
implementation and coordination of key financial operations. These include managing financial data entry, supporting budget tracking, preparing reports, and ensuring that all financial records are accurate and compliant with internal policies and external regulations.
This role is ideal for a highly organized, proactive, and trainable individual with a strong understanding of financial principles and a commitment to maintaining integrity in all financial processes.

You are a detail-oriented, organized, and proactive finance professional with a strong understanding of financial principles. You are passionate about maintaining accurate financial records, supporting operational excellence, and ensuring compliance in all financial processes. You take pride in your integrity, reliability, and commitment to continuous learning.
What you’ll do:
- Process daily financial transactions, including receipts, payments, and reconciliations
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate financial records
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Monitor actual expenses against approved budgets and report variances
- Support the preparation of audit schedules and provide required documentation during audits ▪ Maintain proper filing of financial documents for easy retrieval
- Assist in managing payroll-related data as assigned
- Collaborate with operations and clinical departments to ensure financial accuracy
- Prepare payment schedules for debtors and follow up with creditors
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and statutory requirements
- Perform any other duties as assigned by your supervisor
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- 1–2 years of experience in a similar role
- Experience using Tally software experience is an advantage
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial/accounting systems
- CPA or equivalent qualification is an added advantage
- High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Trainable, reliable, and committed to continuous improvement
