Job Summary
The Finance Officer is responsible for preparing and maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring full compliance with relevant regulations, and providing timely financial reporting to support management decision-making.
Serving as a key bridge between the finance and production operations, this role focuses heavily on manufacturing cost accounting, inventory control, variance analysis, account reconciliation, and supporting financial audits and tax filings. The ideal candidate possesses high integrity, sharp analytical skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities

Financial Recordkeeping & Reporting: Record daily financial transactions, maintain general ledgers, and prepare timely financial statements and management reports.

Cost Accounting & Variance Analysis: Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, perform inventory valuation and control, and track budget vs. actual variances across production operations.

Operational Finance Integration: Serve as the liaison between the finance department and plant production teams to optimize operational efficiency and cost controls.

Reconciliations & Compliance: Perform monthly bank and ledger account reconciliations, ensure strict adherence to financial regulations, and support statutory tax filings.

Audit & Internal Control Support: Assist internal and external auditors during financial reviews and help enforce internal financial controls.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
-
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Certifications
-
Holding or actively pursuing professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or CPA is an added advantage.
Experience
-
3–5 years of manufacturing cost accounting experience (senior-level experience of 2+ years in a similar capacity preferred).
Skills & Competencies

Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with ERP/accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or similar systems).

Analytical Skills: Strong data analysis capabilities with a focus on cost accounting, margin analysis, and inventory tracking.

Core Traits: Exceptional attention to detail, high ethical standards, integrity, and strong communication skills to interact with operational teams and management.
