Job Title: Finance & Admin Assistant 

Location: Dar es Salaam

Job Summary 

Exodus is looking for a highly motivated individual with experience in front office management ,accounting  and administration. 

Job Responsibilities 

  • Compiling, analyzing, and reporting financial data.
  • Record accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Creating periodic reports, such as, profit & loss statements, etc.
  • Maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Computing taxes & process tax payments.
  • Preparing budgets and financial forecasts
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support and filing
  • Be responsible for petty cash, keeping appropriate records, and maintaining reconciliations.
  • Sending invoices/quotations to clients & overseeing client accounts.
  • Update appointment calendars and schedule meetings/appointments
  • Call prospects to book appointments for the sales team.
  • Respond to general enquiries from the public.
  • Call clients for follow up on payments and receipts.
  • Be responsible for maintaining, and developing where necessary, the administration of office systems.  Filing systems and records management.
  • Clean the interior of office including windows and walls
  • Maintain cleaning inventory, placing orders for new products when needed
  • Empty trash and recycling bins
  • Washing and clean windows and mirrors
  • Dust furniture and fixtures
  • Be prepared to undertake any other duties within the role as required

Requirements 

  • Diploma in Accounting, Tax, HR, Records Management, Secretary Studies or equivalent qualification  from recognized institutions  
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office – Excel & Outlook is a must
  • Good knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures
  • Familiarity with accounting software
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good organization skills and attention to detail, with an ability to spot numerical errors
  • Ability to organize, multitask, prioritize and work under pressure.
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues that may arise
  • Be willing to work in a small and young environment with aims of investing massive efforts to boost its  development.
