The mission of our organization is to provide hospice care for terminally ill patients, offer a comprehensive in-home nursing home care with the goal of returning patients to their homes and families. We also provide a permanent home , education, health and nutrition support for children orphaned by AIDS. We are an organization committed to the provision of child/patient centered care and trauma-informed care to all our beneficiaries.
Qualifications.
- Possesses a Commercial Driver’s License.
- Attended a nationally recognized driving school eg VETA and NIT
- Has the ability to work independently with a high level of autonomy.
- Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills . Fluency in Swahili is a must and English is optional.
- Has ability to perform under pressure incase of medical emergencies and accidents.
Experience: Over 3 years successful experience driving children and has knowledge of Arusha Urban and Arumeru district.
Job Description.
- Ensures the safety and well-being of children and adults being transported to and from the program and on field trips.
- Keeps the vehicles clean and free of dirt at all times ; follows other bus cleaning and service procedures.
- Follows other procedures developed by the manager for receiving children and handling children.
- Arranges for and ensures completion of routine maintenance of the organization vehicles (e.g., oil change); transporting the bus to and from maintenance and/or repair facilities.
- Operates Vehicles in such a way that road and safety regulations are always followed; reports any traffic violations to the Manager immediately.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
