Job Advert – Production Manager

On behalf of our client, a dynamic and innovative Printing and Branding Company in Dar es Salaam with more than 10 years’ experience in the industry is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic individual to fill their Production Manager position.

The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the production processes related to printing, branding, and signage operations.

Responsibilities:

Leadership

• Lead and motivate the production team to achieve Production Department targets and quality objectives.
• Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the Department.

Customer Relationship Management

• Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure customer satisfaction. 
• Proactively identify opportunities to add value to customer projects through innovative solutions or process improvements.

Production Planning and Scheduling

• Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and deadlines.
• Monitor production activities to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to optimize efficiency.

Quality Assurance

• Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure all products meet company standards and customer expectations.
• Work closely with the quality assurance team to continuously improve product quality and consistency.

Resource Management

• Manage production resources including equipment, materials, and manpower to ensure optimal utilization and cost-effectiveness.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction through automation, streamlining processes, or sourcing alternative materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing management or any other related field with at least two years’ experience in a similar role.
• Proven experience in a production management role, preferably in the printing, branding, or signage industry.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate across departments.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
• Knowledge of production planning and scheduling principles, quality management systems, and health and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in using production management software and tools for resource planning, scheduling, and performance tracking.
