Job Description:

DaySparkle Consultancy is currently seeking a dedicated and efficient Human Resources Assistant to join our team in Zanzibar, Tanzania. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the HR department in various administrative tasks and ensuring the smooth operation of HR processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment Support:** Assist in the recruitment process by posting job advertisements, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
  • Onboarding Assistance:** Coordinate new employee onboarding activities, including preparing necessary paperwork, conducting orientations, and assisting with the setup of employee profiles.
  • Employee Records Maintenance:** Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personal information, attendance, leaves, and other relevant data.
  • HR Administration:** Provide administrative support to the HR department, including organizing files, managing correspondence, and handling general inquiries.
  • Benefits Administration:** Assist in administering employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
  • Performance Management Support:** Aid in performance management activities, including tracking performance evaluations, providing support during appraisal processes, and maintaining related records.
  • Compliance Assistance:** Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations by staying informed about relevant legislation and assisting in the implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • HR Projects:** Collaborate with the HR team on various projects, such as employee engagement initiatives, training programs, and organizational development activities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (1-2 years) as an HR Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of HR processes and best practices.
  • Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
