Background

Health Information System Programme (HISP) Tanzania is an organization that works to empower governments, organizations, and communities to improve the quality and efficiency of services through the appropriate use of Information and Communication and Technologies (ICT) for inclusive, technological, and socio-economic development in Africa.
HISP Tanzania is also part of the global HISP network, which aims to strengthen Health Information Systems (HISs) in developing countries through a participatory approach. HISP Tanzania focuses on the design and implementation of sustainable and integrated information architectures and system solutions that are based on free and open-source software philosophy and open standards.

Job Summary

HISP Tanzania is seeking a highly motivated Data Scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing data analysis and visualizations, and delivering insights that will drive stakeholders/clients in making informed business decisions. This role will also involve collaborating with stakeholders and internal teams to identify and solve complex business problems using data. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and use your skills to solve complex business problems.

Report to: Team Lead Information System Implementation

Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

Type of Contract: Full Time
