Competencies

  • Minimum 2 years experience as a store officer.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business related to inventory management, accounting, logistics, etc.
  • Good analytical and organizational skills with experience in the related field
  • Competent level of English spoken and written

Job Summary:

  • As a Stock officer, you are responsible for receiving and dispatching goods, manage stock levels and record stock movement.
  • Ensures that optimum levels of inventory is maintained and that it is at par with quality standards, whilst keeping a track of the inventory records and making sure that it is accurate.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for preparing the purchase orders, receiving, storing, issuing the goods, managing the stock levels and giving out the supplies from the stock.
  • He/she is also involved in preparing the inventories, maintaining the stock records, using
    computerized systems for entering the records and is accountable for checking the supply invoices with the purchase orders.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels by conducting regular stock counts and reconciling any discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with sales team to understand customer demand and ensure that stock levels align with anticipated sales volumes.
  • Implement and maintain efficient inventory control procedures, including stock rotation, first- in-first-out (FIFO) principles, and proper storage practices.
  • Monitor and track slow-moving or obsolete stock and propose appropriate actions, such as promotional activities or write-offs, to minimize financial losses.
  • Generate accurate reports on stock levels, stock movements, and stock valuation on a regular basis for management review.
  • Maintain highest level of record keeping of the receipts as well as issuance of items that are going out of the warehouse so as to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Work in close cooperation with all other team members to ensure a smooth operation.
