Job Purpose
The Cashier supports the finance function by executing accurate payment processing, receipt generation, daily cash management, and financial transaction recording. Working closely with sales and service teams, this role ensures full compliance with company financial policies, assists with credit control through aged debtor tracking, and delivers high-quality customer service at the point of sale.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Cashiering & Daily Transaction Processing:
-
Process customer payments (cash, electronic transfers, POS card payments, and cheques) for vehicle purchases, spare parts, and service invoices.

Issue official receipts and ensure accurate posting of daily cash and banking entries into the company’s ERP system.

Reconcile daily cash tills, payment receipts, and bank deposit slips with financial system records.

Credit Control & Accounts Receivable Support:
-
Run routine aged debtor reports to assist credit control teams with debt collection tracking and customer account follow-ups.

Access, input, and verify customer payment data using internal finance management systems.

Customer Service & Operational Coordination:

Deliver professional sales support and front-desk customer service by handling basic payment inquiries.

Respond to customer account queries promptly and escalate complex billing issues to senior finance officers.

Organize daily shift schedules, coordinate with administrative support teams, and complete short-term financial tasks efficiently.

Candidate Qualifications, Skills & Competencies
Education & Experience:
-
Educational Background: Vocational or Technical Diploma, or Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

Work Experience: 0 to 2 years of experience in a cashiering, sales support, or entry-level accounting role (fresh graduates with strong numerical capability are encouraged to apply).
Technical Capabilities & Skills:

High degree of accuracy and strict attention to numerical detail.

Hands-on familiarity with ERP/Financial Management Software and basic Excel data processing.

Solid understanding of internal cash handling controls, financial policies, and compliance procedures.

Good organizational, task follow-up, and daily schedule management skills.
