Role’s Summary:
To Support the Operations Manager in coordinating all hospitality and guest experience to our Company Clients. The incumbent assists with the development of quality programs in the allocated camp. The Camp Manager
KEY RESULT AREAS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- To monitor and maintain camp operations and overhead costs in order to maintain maximum revenue of Company under products and services available at the camp
- Assess and communicate work requirements for each camp department; planning, monitoring, apprising and reviewing work contributions of the camp to Mwiba Holdings Limited.
- Working closely with he operations manager to ensure smooth running of the day-to- day camp operations
- Ensuring Camp operations meet the Company’s mission statement by implementing SOPS and standards available within the company.
- To Develop Camp’s operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements; develop, implement, enforce and evaluate policies and procedures for distribution and usage; develop processes for receiving & handling products, equipment utilization, inventory management and distribution to the field,
- Forecast requirements; prepare an annual budget; schedule expenditures; analyses variances; initiating corrective actions under guidance from Mwiba Holding Limited Operations manager
- Working closely with the responsible management team to ensure all required hospitality license and permits for the cap s to run smoothly are available, compliant and renewed.
- Review and approve all Camps operational invoices and ensure they are submitted for payment as per accounts payments control system.
- Communicate guest issues with concerned departmental ‘ lodge / cap managers and devise ways of improving the customer -service standards
- To communicate effectively with the company’s reservation team including clients handing rem and transport unit to ensure the effective service delivery to the company Clients as per MHL company standards.
- To work closely with the Inventory and purchasing managers and their team.
Health and Safety
- Ensure that all potential and rel hazards are reported immediately and rectified.
- Tobe fully conversant with all departmental firs, emergency procedures.
- Ensure that all staff within the department work in a manner which is safe and unlikely to give risk of harm or Injury to selves or others.
- Stimulate and encourage a general warmness of health and safety in relation to all tasks and activities undertaken in the department
- Ensure that the highest standards of personal hygiene and near appearances are maintained by all members of department>
Education:
- Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Hospitality ‘ tourism or any related field.
- 5 years’ experience in high end travel for reputable travel company,
Proven proficiency in computerized applications to Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, Outlook, ad
PowerPoint’) and basic Google Suite. - Full understanding of the East African Travel market, Is products and logistical aspects. Fluency in both written and spoken English
Experience and Skills;
- An excellent knowledge and understanding of the luxury sector and the caliber of clientele that are targeted
- A passion for the industry have a positive attitude and the ability to think our of he box.
- informed decision-making ability imperative.
- A sound ability to both strategize and implement actions is key.
- Ability to effectively listen, communicate and perform diplomatically with internal and external stakeholders, guests and staff in all situations,
- Humble, yet driven with a track record of performance.
- Teem player who demonstrates the ability to build and develop successful team relationships, and assist where required cross departmentally to ensure the seamless operation and growth of thee company.
- Ability t work independently as well as within group.
