Airtel Tanzania PLC wishes to recruit for a Banks & IMT Lead. The role reports to the Head of Products and Partnerships in Airtel Money Department. The Incumbent will be responsible for developing and managing the Airtel Money Loans, Savings, and Insurance business portfolios creation of innovative products in these business portfolios through meaning full partnerships to drive value to the Airtel customer.
The Role Holder duties will include but not limited to:
1▪ Airtel Money Client relationship management in the assigned segments and client base
Identify all existing clients in the assigned segment
Maintain an up-to-date client database of all clients in the assigned segment
Be fully responsible for client usage and retention in the assigned segment
Have a comprehensive understanding of all client’s business processes and needs to propose the best airtel money business solutions for each client
Own and maintain the client relationship with Airtel Money to ensure optimization of the business opportunity for Airtel money with the client
Be the first point of escalation for all client queries and support requests in the assigned segment
Own and track all client queries and support requests and escalations in the assigned segment till they are resolved satisfactorily and communicate nature of resolution to the client.
Manage all communications, client engagements and meetings with clients in the assigned segment.
2.Drive key commercial KPIs and results in the loans, Savings and Insurance portfolios;
Ensure growth of product adoption by driving usage, growth of unique users, value transacted and revenue in the assigned portfolios.
Identify the airtel money products consumed by the existing client base in the assigned segment and ensure optimal usage of the said products to maximize revenue. • Identify cross selling and up selling opportunities in the assigned client base to maximize revenue generated from the existing base.
Monitor consumption and revenue growth trends so as to inform the business revenue growth plan for assigned segment.
Conduct Daily, weekly, Monthly reviews to track and monitor performance against business targets.
Implement any remedial/ corrective actions in case of any revenue performance shortfalls.
Coordinate with Usage & Retention team to develop initiatives to increase usage of corporate business products and services in assigned segment
3.Manage the acquisition of new business opportunities.
Numerically grow the existing client base in the assigned segment to meet business expectations.
Identify and engage new and prospective business partners to consume Airtel money collections, bulk payments, bill payments and agency services in the assigned segment • Understand new client’s business needs and recommend the most appropriate airtel money solutions and products.
Manage end to end the new client onboarding process that includes acquisition, product design, development and acceptance, testing, contracting, client training, product usage and retention.
4.Manage the product development road map for assigned segment
Work with the clients and carry out market research on new product innovations and recommend revenue and customer experience impacting products and services in the assigned segment
Develop initiatives, products and solutions to materialize business and revenue growth in the assigned segment
Develop business cases to enhance new product development within the assigned segment and Airtel Money as a whole
Work with IT in prioritization of products and services to be developed • Coordinate with Group Airtel Money for support and customization of products that address segment /market needs.
Develop Project Plans for new products and manage the plans to Go Live stage
Coordinate the new products & Services life cycle
Monitor and evaluate the products & services performance after roll out
5.Ensure retention of existing client base in the assigned segment.
Ensure client churn is maintained bellow the acceptable thresh as per business plan.
Identify potential churn, and clients likely to churn, and develop and implement churn management plans
Develop and oversee implementation of product training Plan across the assigned base
Ensure clients likely to churn are brought to the attention of management
Develop training content used to roll out customer engagement in the market
Developing product guides, reference guides and other relevant documentation.
6.Reporting and Other Duties
Prepare timely management reports highlighting performance against set business KRAs
Maintain clear commercial reports, and product trackers.
Produce and deliver required reports for the business on demand.
Other duties as may be assigned by the line manager from time to time
Academic and Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s in business administration, Marketing, Finance, Business, Commerce Administration or Equivalent
5-year experience in relationship management and product development and marketing preferably from Banking and Insurance Industries
Able to handle , prioritize, multiple project simultaneously
Able to operate as matrix manager in coordinating people and technical resources from
multiple areas of the company
