Job Overview

The Assistant Venn Officer – Data Collection & Integrity (DCI) strengthens RTV’s data foundation by supporting field data collection processes, maintaining quality assurance standards, and leveraging mobile tech solutions. Working directly under the Venn Officer, this role requires spending up to 70% of the time in the field to supervise enumerator teams, conduct pre-rollout tool testing, manage survey workplans, and optimize data collection resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Quality Assurance: Conduct internal pre-rollout testing of survey tools, monitor field collection activities, and enforce data integrity best practices across all evaluations.

• Field Team Technical Support: Train field enumerators, provide on-the-ground technical assistance, and troubleshoot mobile data collection software issues in real-time.

• Resource Planning & Execution: Manage survey workplans, allocate enumerator assignments, oversee third-party contractors, and manage inventory at the unit level.

• Technological Innovation: Utilize mobile data collection platforms and support the implementation of new field data technologies to optimize data collection processes. Assistant Venn Officer

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Monitoring & Evaluation, or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in M&E, preferably within non-profit or development project contexts.

• Software & Tools: Understanding of mobile data collection platforms (SurveyCTO, ODK, CommCare, Survey123, or SurveySolutions) and proficiency in statistical software (Stata, SPSS) and MS Excel.

• Key Skills: Excellent facilitation and communication skills, strong organizational ability, detail orientation, and readiness to work in high-travel field environments.
