The Information Officer of Tanzania Mainland Champion Club Young Africans Ally Shaban Kamwe has said that there is a high possibility that their striker from DR Congo Fiston Mayele will leave the club during this period of the Registration Window.

Mayele has been mentioned as being hunted by some clubs in Africa and elsewhere, following the great ability he showed during the African Confederation Cup in the 2022/23 season, while he emerged as the top scorer in the tournament by scoring 7 goals, leaving Chivaviro of Marumo Gallants of South Africa who scored 6 goals.

Ally Kamwe has said that Young Africans has received several offers so far regarding the attacker, but before making any decisions, the management will sit down with him and give him a new offer, and if things are different they will be ready to let him leave to find a life elsewhere.

“Fiston Mayele is currently on his duties with the National DR team. If he returns to Congo, we will give him our offer to extend his contract for the remaining one year, but if he is not satisfied with our offer, we will listen to what he proposes and if he has a bigger offer than ours, we will invite the team that needs him to the table.

“We have received many offers from very big teams in Africa that need Fiston Mayele, but we as a club, our priority is for Fiston Mayele to stay in Tanzania and continue to enjoy the good of our country, but if he doesn’t want to, we will follow all the football procedures as required, we will let him go when he got a bigger offer from Yanga SC” said Ally Kamwe

In addition to playing in the International Championship, Mayele has also shown great potential in the Premier League in the 2022/23 season, finishing as the top scorer, equal to the Striker from Burundi and Simba SC Saido Ntibazonkiza, scoring 17 goals each
