Position: Accountants (5 Positions) 

SHAMO Industries

Location: Dar es Salaam 

Salary Range: 600,000 – 800,000

Purpose of the Position 

To support the Finance Department, Head of Accounts, and Management by performing  routine accounting tasks and ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance. 

Qualifications and Experience 

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3–5 years of experience in finance and taxation 
• Not more than 45 years of age 
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English 
• Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) 
• Strong IT knowledge will be an added advantage 
• Good communication and interpersonal skills 

Key Responsibilities 

• Prepare and examine payroll, financial statements, and reports for accuracy and  compliance 
• Register new employees for NSSF benefits and prepare monthly statutory returns (TRA,  NSSF, WCF, etc.) 
• Maintain accurate financial records and track creditors and debtors 
• Calculate and review provisional tax; assist in audits and maintain finance files
• Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closing 
• Conduct financial analysis to support business decision-making 
• Develop and monitor budgets, including variance analysis reports 
• Analyze chargeable and non-chargeable time monthly 
• Update accounts receivable and payable and perform aging analysis
• Compute taxes, prepare and submit tax returns in compliance with statutory  requirements 
• Process payments and ensure timely submission of all statutory obligations
