Job Summary:
This position will work in Tanzania office, responsible for the oversight of strategic and operational finance matters.
The accountant is responsible for ensuring that Qatar Charity Tanzania Office’s financial information is complete and correct. This role will require the successful candidate to prepare initial review of the financial statements of the organization in a timely, efficient and accurate manner following the highest standards. This role will also require the accountant to monitor and maintain the project’s accounts and statements efficiently.

The main purpose of recruiting is to fill the position below:
- The integrity and correctness of carrying out financial and accounting transactions in accordance with international accounting standards.
- Providing useful information through financial reports to the users of these reports, enabling them to take appropriate decision.
- Issuing periodic financial reports on the financial position, business results, and cash flows for the management.
- To protect the assets and investments of the office through financial control and internal control.
- Implementing financial regulations, procedures, systems and policies.
- Prepare the estimated budget, follow up on its implementation, and submit reports thereon.
Job Role and Responsibility:
- Responsible for recording and keeping different accounting operations.
- Responsible for maintenance and updating a computerized accountancy system as required.
- Recording the entries for the payment and repayments in the accounting system.
- Preparing the banking reconciliation regularly.
- Adding the new budgets or any updates to the accounting software.
- Recording and monitoring the fixed assets.
- Make archiving and electronic archiving for payment vouchers and general journal documents on the finance department.
- Preparing cheques and transfers.
- Responsibility for keeping accounting books and records in accordance with the primary accounting standards.
- Preparing the required financial statements and reports.
- Responsible for monitoring all accounting activities and reporting on them.
- participation in procurement committees.
- Preparing the estimated budget in coordination with the director and officials in the office.
- Ensuring the application of the approved financial policies, systems and procedures.
- Follow up the implementation of the annual plan and the estimated budget and verify its implementation within the specified deadlines.

Job Requirements and Qualification:
- The applicant must hold a university degree in accounting.
- Preference will be given to those with professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or ACCA.
- Must have prior experience working with international non-governmental organizations (INGOs)
- should have practical experience with ERP systems; knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (MCD365) is preferred.
- You must have at least 7 years of practical experience in the accounting department.
- It is preferred that the applicant is proficient in Arabic.
