We are seeking to hire an Accountant who will be responsible for helping the business make critical financial decisions by collecting, tracking, analysing, and maintaining the company’s financial information. The role will also support financial audits, bank reconciliations, financial reporting, and the maintenance of accurate financial records throughout the year.
Responsibilities
- Provides financial information to management by researching and analysing accounting data and preparing reports.
- Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analysing account information.
- Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
- Recommends financial actions by analysing accounting options.
- Summarises current financial status by collecting information and preparing a balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
- Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.
- Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
- Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information.
- Maintains financial security by following internal controls.
- Prepares payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
- Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policies and regulations.
- Complies with legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
- Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising account information and trends.
- Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- Ability to interpret and analyse financial statements and periodicals.
- Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
- More than 2 years of experience.
- CPA is an added value.
