Job Description
The position entails assisting the company in making key financial decisions by collecting, tracking, and adjusting the company’s finances. They are in charge of financial audits, reconciling bank statements, and guaranteeing the accuracy of financial records throughout the year.
Responsibilities
- Adherence to all firm, local, state, and federal accounting and financial regulations.
- Gathering, analyzing, and reporting financial information.
- Developing periodic reports such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and so on.
- Data presentation to managers, investors, and other entities.
- Keeping up with correct financial records.
- Conducting audits and resolving inconsistencies.
- Calculating taxes.
- Staying up to date on current financial and accounting legislation.
- Assisting management in making decisions by creating budgets and financial predictions.
- Dealing with cash customers.
- Reconciliation of bank accounts.
- Invoicing for all branches and management of files.
- EFD and system reconciliation on a daily basis.
- Maintaining a cash sales tally system.
- Compiling daily cash sales and petty cash reports. Handling petty cash expenses and posting them on a daily basis.
- Monthly payroll preparation.
- In charge of stock take.
- Thorough checks on upcountry groups to guarantee that all invoices are received on schedule.
- Developing periodic reports such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and so on.
- Preparing and filing tax returns, such as VAT, SDL, PAYE, and Withholding Tax.
- Managing and modifying transactions such as accounts payable and receivable.
- Keeping track of petty cash and keeping copies of all invoices, receipts, vouchers, and bank slips.
- Senior management assumes additional duties.
Knowledge and Experience
- Accounting bachelor’s degree with 2 to 3 years of experience, CPA is preferable.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and computer abilities.
- Knowledge of mathematics, accounting, and financial operations.
- Ethical conduct.
- Adapts quickly to new surroundings, is fast-paced, and pays close attention to detail.
- Capable of working under pressure.
