Dar es Salaam Tumaini University (DarTU) is undergoing a strategic transformation to align with the digital economy and the 4th Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0). This re-engineering and rebranding effort aims to prepare students to excel in a rapidly evolving digital landscape and to nurture the next generation of legal professionals equipped to thrive in a dynamic world. As part of this vision, DarTU is seeking qualified, talented, vibrant, and morally sound individuals to fill Lecturer and Assistant Lecturer positions in the School of Law and Justice (SoLJu).
Lecturer and Assistant Lecturer Positions in the School of Law and Justice
Lecturer in Law (3 Positions)
The Lecturer positions are designed for individuals with advanced qualifications and expertise in law to teach at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a PhD in Law, an LLM degree with a minimum GPA of 4.0, and an LLB degree with a minimum GPA of 3.5 from institutions recognized by the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU).
Prior university teaching experience and being an advocate of the High Court are considered added advantages.

- Administrative Law and Constitutional Law
- Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)
- Civil Procedures
- Labour Law
- Land Law
- Law of Trusts and Succession
- Oil and Gas Law
- Tax Law
Assistant Lecturer in Law (4 Positions)
- The Assistant Lecturer positions are for individuals capable of teaching law courses at undergraduate and non-degree levels.
Qualifications:
- Must hold an LLM degree with a minimum GPA of 4.0 and an LLB degree with a minimum GPA of 3.5 from institutions recognized by TCU.
- Prior university teaching experience and being an advocate of the High Court are considered added advantages.

Remuneration
- Successful candidates will receive an attractive remuneration package based on their qualifications and experience.

- Certificates from foreign examination bodies for Ordinary or Advanced level education, certified by the
- National Examination Council of Tanzania (NECTA) and the National Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (NACTVET).
- Certificates from foreign universities, certified by the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU).
