Waheke Microfinance Limited is a registered financial institute since 2016 to deal with microfinance businesses. Currently, it seeks to recruit qualified credit officers to assist the company by ensuring quality loan portfolios and portfolio growth.

Position: Credit Officers (5 Posts)

Location: Bariadi (Simiyu), Mlele (Mpanda), Buchosa (Sengerema)

CREDIT OFFICER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To identify potential markets and make sales to obtain potential customers/borrowers
• Meeting with clients interested in taking out a loan and providing them with the necessary information to start the loan application process.
• Ensuring that loan applications are in line with the company’s financial policies, as well as state laws and regulations.
• To orient clients to the particular loan products and services.
• To analyse applicants’ financial status, credit and property evaluation and determine feasibility of granting loans and ensuring loan repayments after disbursement
• Approving or denying loan requests, and communicating decision to both clients and management.
• Loan Monitoring, follow up and recover. Make a regular contact with the customers and clients in field.
• Managing loan renewals by organizing follow-up meetings with clients
•  Maintain portfolio quality on daily basis.
• To prepare and present loan report timely (Daily, Weekly and Monthly)
• To perform any other duty that may be assigned by his/her supervisor from time to time

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualification:

• Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Banking, Law, Business Administration or related fields.
  
• Computer literacy
• Good understanding of lending procedures will be an added advantage.
• Should not be less than 20 and not more 35 years of age
