INTRODUCTION

Kahama Central Cooperative Association (KACU) LTD was registered on 20.04.1994 under the Cooperative Societies Act number 15 of 1991 section 30 with Registration number 5493.

KACU LTD has a total of 126 Member Associations, of which 46 Associations are engaged in the cultivation of Tobacco crops, 66 Associations are engaged in Cotton and 14 Associations are engaged in both Cotton and Tobacco crops. KACU LTD has a total of 13,455 farmers from the primary associations that are members of KACU LTD.

Solidarity: The goal is to improve the structure of Kahama cooperative union executives. The success of the Association will be achieved if there is close cooperation and solidarity between members, executive boards and other stakeholders. It is the responsibility of each stakeholder to provide cooperation when it is necessary to do so.

Self-responsibility: Party leaders, members and executives should be responsible for the broad interests of the Party.
Caring for members: Party leaders and executives should always provide the best service to their members.

Transparency: The Association’s activities will be conducted in a transparent manner based on the principles of protecting the member (consumer protection) as well as observing the laws, rules and guidelines of the association.

Professionalism: The board and the executives will have to consider and follow the professional standards they have when conducting the activities of the Association.

Honesty: Party leaders and executives should be honest when conducting Party activities.

Self-help: Party leaders and executives are encouraged to have a spirit of self-sacrifice and independence at all times for the benefit of the Party and its members.
