The Institute of Environment, Climate and Development Sustainability (IECDS)
The Institute of Environment, Climate and Development Sustainability (IECDS) is a Tanzanian professional Research and training Institute. It specializes in Environment and Climate Change and is registered and accredited by the National Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (NACTVET), REG/ANE/031, as a full–fledged training Institute to undertake Training, Research, Projects and Consultancy. IECDS is the only Tanzanian training Institute in Eastern Africa accredited to UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Secretariat, Bonn Germany, and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Secretariat, Geneva Switzerland with the global recognition in the environment and climate change training. IECDS is a member of the Global Network of High–Level Training and Research Institutions with its headquarters at the Centre for Natural Resources and Development (CNRD) in Cologne, Germany. The Institute is also accredited by Green Climate Fund (GCF) as a technical observer organization.
IECDS is dedicated to working with the global community in addressing the increasing climate change and environmental challenges, through collaborative research, training, capacity–building support, policy advice, innovative and contemporary training opportunities, and networking for sustainable development.
