About ACET
“Overview”
Association of Consulting Engineers Tanzania (ACET) is a voluntary non-profit organization which was established in 1985 to promote the practice of consulting engineering in Tanzania consistent with professional ethical principles and business integrity.
It is made up of Consulting Engineers who operate in Tanzania. ACET actively promotes the interests of its members, and acts as a conduit for the dissemination of relevant information between members, industry associates and clients. ACET became a member of the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC) in 1986, proudly joining a global family of Consulting Engineers Associations.

We represent over 180 local professionals and firms who possess wealth of experience in Engineering Consultancy offering specialized services and responsible for managing various infrastructure projects ranging from Civil/Structural Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Irrigation Engineering, Bridge Engineering, Railway Engineering, Maritime Engineering, Environmental, Telecommunication, Fire Protection/Alarm Systems, Automation, Project Management, Contract Management, Traffic Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying and Building Services within Tanzania.
ACET provides collective leadership and representation on common issues that impact its member’ professions. We believe that the construction industry is a fundamental economic activity which permeates most of the sectors of the economy. It has a major role to play in achieving social, economic development objectives of the country.
Local firms and professionals should be fully involved in the process to ensure a strong construction industry.
