Job Overview
Emirates Leisure Retail (ELR) is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to oversee financial control and timely reporting for its airport hospitality, retail, and food & beverage operations (ZOMA) at Abeid Amani Karume International Airport in Zanzibar. Reporting in line with Group Finance policies and IFRS standards, the role manages accounts payable, daily sales accounting, inventory review, payroll, and monthly closing activities.
Key Responsibilities

Implement financial accounting policies in strict compliance with Group standards and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Manage the Accounts Payable (AP) function, overseeing supplier invoice processing, payment approvals, and cash flow management.

Oversee daily sales accounting and revenue control, ensuring bank deposits, credit card reconciliations, and controls to eliminate revenue leakage.

Lead monthly financial closing activities and carry out general ledger (GL) reconciliations within strict timelines.

Perform secondary reviews of inventory processes and stock movements impacting financial statements.

Review monthly payroll processing and ensure accurate ledger postings.
Requirements & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related business discipline.

Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in a finance function covering key accounting streams (AP, AR, GL).

Solid understanding of IFRS, internal financial controls, and cash flow management.

High attention to detail with strong analytical and internal/external communication skills.

Prior experience in the FMCG, retail, or food & beverage/hospitality sector is highly desirable.

Must be willing to relocate to or be based in Zanzibar, Tanzania.
