Job Description – Responsibilities
- Ensure products meet established quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Conduct quality inspections and testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished products.
- Monitor production processes to identify and prevent quality defects and non-conformities.
- Investigate quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Maintain accurate quality inspection, testing, and reporting records.
- Support the development, review, and implementation of Quality Management System (QMS) procedures.
- Conduct root-cause analysis for recurring quality problems and recommend improvement measures.
- Work closely with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and other departments to improve product quality.
- Participate in internal quality audits and support external/customer audits.
- Monitor and report quality KPIs, trends, defects, and customer complaints.
- Ensure measuring and testing equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
Requirements
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quality Assurance, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional qualification or training in Quality Management/Quality Assurance is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and ISO 9001 requirements.
- Understanding of quality inspection, testing, statistical quality control, and root-cause analysis.
- Knowledge of CAPA, 5 Why, Fishbone Analysis, Pareto Analysis, and other quality improvement tools.
- Good understanding of manufacturing and production processes, preferably in a steel, roofing, or related manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prepare quality reports and maintain proper documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and under pressure.
- Relevant experience in a manufacturing environment will be an added advantage.
