Position Overview
Reporting to the Lodge Manager, the Director of Engineering provides strategic leadership across all engineering, facilities, and environmental infrastructure operations. You will oversee building systems, lead capital expenditure projects, champion sustainability, and inspire a multidisciplinary team to ensure guest, staff, and environmental safety in a remote, high-luxury setting. Key Responsibilities

Strategic Operations: Lead daily operations for all Lodge facilities, guest rooms, public spaces, back-of-house areas, and staff accommodations to maintain Four Seasons luxury standards.

Team Leadership: Coach and develop a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and workplace safety.

Preventive Maintenance: Design and execute a proactive maintenance strategy to optimize system reliability and asset lifespan.

Systems Infrastructure: Maintain core mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, solar power generation, water treatment, and fire/life safety systems.

Sustainability & Compliance: Implement eco-friendly initiatives in energy, water, and waste management. Ensure strict compliance with local regulations, environmental laws, and company standards.

Project & Financial Management: Manage departmental operating budgets, monitor capital expenditure (CapEx) projects, and ensure timely delivery within financial targets.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with Rooms, Food & Beverage, Security, and Finance teams to support smooth resort operations.
Candidate Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Experience: 3 to 5+ years of senior engineering leadership experience within luxury hospitality, large resorts, or complex multi-use facilities.

Technical & Financial Expertise: Strong expertise in capital project management, life safety systems, environmental compliance, and budget planning.

Leadership & Communication: Proven ability to build and lead teams, with fluent written and spoken English skills.

Adaptability: Resilience and drive to manage complex operations in a unique, remote lodge environment.
