Role Overview & Key Responsibilities

The Sales Coordinator – Pensioner Portfolio drives the acquisition, onboarding, and retention of pensioner and pre-retiree banking customers across NBC’s network. The position acts as a pivotal liaison between NBC branches, Direct Sales Agents (DSAs), local government teams, and pension fund institutions to boost account activation, resolve customer escalations, and manage segment performance metrics.

• Acquisition & Service Delivery (50%): Coordinate field visits to pension offices, government departments, and employer sites to convert pre-retirees and existing pensioners; monitor account opening queues, lead conversion, and track account activation status.

• Initiatives & Campaign Logistics: Plan and execute segment campaigns such as pensioner clinics, managing logistics and supporting branch and DSA teams with appropriate marketing tools.Sales Coordinator – Pensioner Portfolio at NBC Bank.

• Portfolio & Execution Planning (20%): Maintain weekly execution plans and performance dashboards for account conversion, dormancy reactivation, and overall segment growth analysis.

• Stakeholder & Institution Engagement (30%): Build strong working relationships with pension fund administrators, public institutions, Branch Managers, and Scheme Relationship Managers to streamline verification and documentation processes.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Banking, Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.

• Experience: 2 to 3 years of progressive experience in banking sales, customer service, or field operations.

  • Prior experience engaging with pension funds, public sector institutions, or senior citizen demographics is a distinct advantage.

• Required Competencies & Skills:

  • Proficiency in performance tracking, reporting tools, and dashboard monitoring.

  • Clear understanding of pension payout structures, verification processes, and retail banking products.

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, customer service discipline, and organizational capabilities.

  • Digital familiarity and proficiency in managing lead pipelines.
