Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Electrical Technician to join our technical operations team at the Mbeya Plant. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, safety, and reliability of our electrical infrastructure and heavy machinery.
Key Responsibilities

Installation & Assembly: Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical/electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, and fixtures using standard hand and power tools.

Troubleshooting & Fault Isolation: Diagnose malfunctioning electrical systems and systematically isolate the root causes of breakdowns to resolve faults quickly.

Component Diagnostics: Inspect and test electrical circuit breakers, transformers, and other critical components to ensure they operate at peak capacity.

Routine Inspections: Regularly evaluate electrical systems and equipment to identify potential hazards, defects, or maintenance needs, executing corrections in strict compliance with safety standards.

Safety & Continuity Testing: Test electrical systems and circuit continuity in equipment and fixtures using specialized testing devices to guarantee system compatibility and safe operations.

Repairs & Maintenance: Repair or replace faulty wiring, infrastructure, and fixtures; install ground leads and connect power cables to industrial equipment and heavy-duty motors.
Required Qualifications & Experience

Education: A minimum of a Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.

Experience: At least three (3) years of hands-on experience working in manufacturing or extractive industries.
Technical & Behavioral Competencies

Solid understanding of the cement manufacturing process and related plant machinery.

Deep technical knowledge of industrial electrical maintenance operations and equipment.

Proven familiarity with electricity distribution and power transmission systems.

Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment.

High level of personal integrity, self-discipline, and a strong professional work ethic.

An innovative mindset oriented toward continuous improvement and problem-solving.

Proficiency in MS Office applications for documentation and reporting.
