Position: Electrical Engineer

Unit: Projects & Property

Reporting to: Project Engineer

Duty Station: Dar es Salaam

KEY JOB PURPOSE

The role is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of electrical systems within various properties and projects. The role will ensure that all electrical works are carried out to the highest standards, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Install Electrical Systems to support production processes. o Ensure compliance with safety standards & hazard prevention.
• Maintain & Repair Equipment to minimize downtime and enhance performance. o Optimize energy efficiency to reduce consumption per unit of production.
• Lead & manage projects related to facility upgrades and equipment improvements.
• Provide technical support and guidance to the project team, contractors, and clients. Resolve any technical issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
• Document & report maintenance activities, safety records, and performance metrics.
• Train and develop maintenance personnel and operators in electrical safety.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Certified by the Engineers Registration Board (ERB).
•  7+ years of experience in electrical engineering (preferably in the project management or a similar manufacturing environment).
• Strong problem-solving, project management, and safety compliance skills.
• Ability to lead teams and collaborate across departments.
• Continuous Learning and Adaptability.
