Description

One of our clients in the pioneering affordable housing program initiative dedicated to tackling the prevalent housing deficit in Kenya and across Africa based in Nairobi is seeking to fill the role of IT Software Designer

JOB SUMMARY

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software solutions to meet organizational needs. He/She will ensure that software designs align with business goals and technology standards.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop detailed software design specifications, including architectural diagrams, data flow diagrams, and interface designs.
Analyse and change softwares to improve performance and remove errors
Ensure software solutions comply with security standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code based on design specifications by using programming languages
Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and automated tests to ensure software quality. Debug and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Create comprehensive documentation for software designs, development processes, and user guides.
Monitor and maintain existing software applications, providing technical support and troubleshooting as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, PHP, Python, JavaScript, or others.
Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.
Experience with database design and management (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
Familiarity with front-end and back-end development technologies.
Knowledge of software testing principles and tools.
Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
