Job Title: Truck Officer

Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania (Preference for candidates residing near Mlimani City)
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee all transportation activities, ensuring efficiency and safety in the movement of goods and personnel.
- Plan and optimize transportation routes to ensure timely and cost-effective service delivery.
- Supervise and train drivers, ensuring adherence to road safety regulations and company policies.
- Ensure all vehicles are well-maintained, have valid insurance, and undergo regular inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
- Maintain accurate records of all transportation activities, including fuel usage, maintenance schedules, and trip logs.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure transportation needs are met efficiently and effectively.
- Address any transportation-related issues promptly and provide effective solutions.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Transportation, Logistics, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in transportation management or a similar role, preferably in a cargo transport business.
- Strong understanding of transportation regulations and laws in Tanzania.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient communication skills, both written and verbal, along with strong administrative abilities.
- Experience with transportation management software and computer literacy, particularly in MS Office applications.
- Valid driver’s license for the appropriate vehicle class and a clean driving record.
