Are you an experienced professional in team leading and looking for an exciting opportunity in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector? We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Telesales team leader to join our team.

Location: Dar es Salaam

Job Description:

As a Telesales Team Leader, you will be responsible for the effectively manage and lead a team of tele sales agents to achieve and exceed sales targets while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. This involves monitoring and motivating the team, providing necessary training, tracking performance, and resolving customer issues to optimize sales outcomes and enhance the overall performance of the tele sales department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a Team of Tele-sales Agents: Provide leadership and direction to a team of up to 10 tele-sales agents, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Monitor, Motivate, and Train Team Members: Oversee the performance of team members, offering motivation and comprehensive training to enhance their sales capabilities and productivity.
  • Track Team Sales Performance: Continuously track and analyze the sales performance of the team, implementing strategies to help them meet and exceed their sales targets.
  • Filter and Assign Customer Lists: Manage and filter customer lists, assigning active and prospective customers to agents based on their skills and performance.
  • Assign Customer Classification: Implement and manage a system for customer classification, ensuring agents are focusing on the most relevant and high-potential customers.
  • Conduct Regular Performance Reviews: Evaluate the performance of each team member through regular reviews, providing constructive feedback and development plans to foster continuous improvement. 
  • Resolve Customer Issues: Serve as the escalation point for complex customer complaints or inquiries, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolutions to maintain high customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 Years of Experience Leading Telesales Teams: Demonstrated experience in managing and leading telesales teams, with a proven ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Proven Track Record of Success: A solid history of improving telesales team performance and driving significant sales growth.
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Extensive experience in data analysis and the ability to leverage analytics to inform decision-making and strategy.
  • Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets: Advanced proficiency in using Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis, reporting, and performance tracking.
  • Strong Problem-Solving Skills and Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to identify issues, develop solutions, and ensure accuracy in all tasks.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Outstanding ability to communicate effectively with team members, customers, and stakeholders, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
