The match between the traditional hometowns Simba and Yanga continues to make people sweat, each explaining the situation of the game as the former captain of the teams, Willy Martin ‘Gari Kubwa’ said; “It’s no wonder someone ate enough.”
Simba and Yanga meet in the rematch of the Mainland League this season, being the 110th match since the Mainland League was founded in 1965, with each team needing a win to put themselves in a good position to win the championship this season.

Yanga is the defender and leader of the league with 68 points, followed by Simba with 60, while each team played 25 matches and in the first match played on October 23, last year they failed to tie with 7 points. The teams are meeting after getting results in the previous matches of the league, Yanga defeating Kagera Sugar with 5-0 goals, while Simba won 2-0 against Ihefu.
The former centre-back, who also played for Ushirika Moshi, Majimaji and Taifa Stars, said that currently Yanga is the best team, but Simba has strong players, so if one of them makes a mistake anywhere, he can find himself eating many and leaving them surprised.

“For example, there was one match when I was in Yanga, we had the best team, but I don’t know how it happened, Simba beat us 4-1 and I found myself being given a red card for cheating on Dua Said, we were very angry,” said Gari Kubwa who currently lives in Kyela, Mbeya and added;

“For the match on Sunday, I have not seen who will win but I think someone will eat a lot, Yanga is the best where anyone can score a goal and Simba has good players like Jean Baleke who can do anything at any time,” said the star.
The defender who once suffered with Taifa Stars, added that most of the domestic matches are played mostly outside the field so the one who has a teammate is the one who benefits and emphasized that there is no draw in the game.
