Job Description
The purpose of the role is to assess, price and determine terms for risks presented within set standards of service in a manner to ensure quality selection of risks and timely service to client and carry out all aspects of Insurance policy administration function in respect of Underwriting Department.
- Must be multi skilled with the ability to mentor and train jnr underwriters and have high technical knowledge.
- Ability to asses, review, price and determine terms for risks through acceptance of proposals which meet company underwriting standards within the delegated authority
- Analytical and able to assess and review proposal forms, risk notes, policy wordings by confirming correctness within the acceptable underwriting standards
- Promptness in attending all customers enquiries and provide prompt feedback
- Qualities of self-leadership and accountability
- Able to monitor accuracy of business captured in the system
- Monitor the quantity and quality of work done with Zero errors
- Ensure adherence to all the processes, procedures and controls within the company
- Ensure Reinsurance allocations are done properly as per treaty
- Ensure timely placement of all businesses requiring facultative reinsurance placements
- Proper knowledge in filing and record keeping system
