Sales operations managers oversee an organization’s business processes and sales structure that supplies Mining Chemicals & Industrial Products. Their job description entails developing sales strategies and initiatives required to drive sales in a business organization. In performing their duties, sales operations managers set and enforce sales policies and procedures. The responsibilities of a Sales Operations Manager (SOM) are a subset of the sales leader’s role.
The goal of the SOM is to ensure that every seller has the required processes, knowledge, skills, resources/content, and behaviors to optimize every interaction with buyers. By managing business activities and processes, the SOM helps the sales organization run effectively, efficiently, and in support of business strategies and objectives. The SOM represents the needs of sales in meetings and cross‐functional projects and acts as a liaison for sales with other parts of the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES.
- Support operations.
- Manage a successful sales support team and ensure that the team consistently meets or exceeds daily sales performance metrics.
- Maintain a detailed understanding of existing sales processes and identify areas open to process improvement.
- Implement new processes, educating sales operators and teams on how best to utilize new tools and methods.
- Directly assist teams in developing high-value clients
- Devise high-level sales strategies in response to emerging trends and opportunities.
- Analyze market and sales data, delivering reports on your findings to other key decision-makers.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Should have an institutional sales experience of at least 7-10 years.
- Flexibility is very important as the branches are located in extremely rural areas where the usual amenities may not be easily available. He/She will be located in small towns & traveling every week.
- Should have an institutional sales experience of at least 7-10 years.
- Can effectively communicate in both English & Kiswahili
- Should have a managerial experience of at least 5 year
- Oversee the entire operations of all the branches.
- Be a team player.
- A dynamic, confident, self-motivated go-getter.
- Able to identify, approach, discuss, and close business opportunities.
- Able to develop market intelligence.
- Develop strategies for selling products.
- Create and develop new avenues of business.
- Punctual and efficient
- Can effectively communicate & is able to send reports regularly.
- Previous knowledge in the Gold Mining industry will be helpful but not mandatory.
