Strategically located at the Ferry in Kigamboni, we are dedicated to bridging the gap between global seafood markets and local resources. We are currently seeking a results-driven and resilient Salesman to join our growing team.

The Role

As a Sales Representative, you will be the face of FORWORLD, responsible for expanding our market footprint and managing the end-to-end sales process. This role is ideal for a proactive individual who thrives in fast-paced, hands-on environments and possesses the grit to navigate the unique challenges of the fishery industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Expansion: Proactively identify and secure new local and international market opportunities for our fishery products.
  • Negotiation: Manage price negotiations and contract terms with wholesalers, retailers, and distributors to ensure profitable growth.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients through exceptional communication and service.
  • Operations: Manage sales logistics and inventory reporting, ensuring products meet client specifications.
  • Shift Flexibility: Monitor and manage incoming/outgoing stock during late hours to align with the fishery market’s peak operational times.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2–4 years of proven experience in sales and marketing (experience in the food or perishables industry is a plus).
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong ability to influence and close deals in a competitive environment.
  • Resilience: Must be comfortable working in hardship environments (e.g., busy fish markets, cold storage areas, and waterfront locations).
  • Flexibility: Must be willing and able to work night shifts as required by the nature of the fish trade.
  • Communication: Fluent in Swahili and English.
