As a Plant Accountant at Knauf Gypsum Tanzania Limited, you will be responsible for observing month stock takes of all raw material and finished goods for purposes of completeness and accuracy and performs the necessary analytical work on cost variances and assist with forecasts as requested by the Plant Manager, Project Manager and Financial Controller.
What you’ll be doing:
Performing life circle cost benefit analysis and driving capex expenditure motivations.
Analyze monthly and yearly production/ unit production costs, plant utilization and availability.
Monitoring of movements in inventory balances and the expected impact on the average production costs.
Offering professional recommendation on financial matters and advising on ways of improving business performance.
Tracking investment utilization versus budget and project completion.
Leading month end processes at the plant to ensure adherence to key timelines and cut-off procedure.
Tracking/checking correctness of contractor invoices advising solution and right way of posting.
Leasing staff working hours records check against raised invoice.
Follow up invoice GRN process in SAP, daily check if received goods is posted correct and timely.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounts/ Finance or related field of study.
- Minimum work experience; One (1) year working experience as a Cost Accountant/ Financial controller in a manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of SAP
- Ability to work with cross functional teams and build relationships.
- Good analysis and interpretation of data.
- Ability to Identify problems quickly make sound judgements and implement solution.
