Currently, we are in search of an Operations Manager for one of our microfinance companies in Tanzania. Join Aventus Group and become an integral part of a large community of professionals shaping the Fintech landscape worldwide!

Our ideal candidate:

  • Proficiency in English at least upper intermediate level.
  • Willingness to relocate to Tanzania.
  • Deep understanding of collection processes (creating a strategy for managing problematic loans using technical collection tools, communication with IT teams, and external contractors for integration of technical solutions).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Clear understanding of the microfinance sector, PDL/installment product, and business management specifics.
  • Successful experience in retail lending (microfinance institution or banking sector).
  • Excellent business development skills and organizational strategy building.
  • High level of responsibility and self-organization.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Experience in team development and motivation.
  • Negotiation skills and ability to defend the business position.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordination with all stakeholders related to the company’s current operations (HQ, partners, etc.).
  • Representing the company’s interests in the market, including regulatory authorities.
  • Developing the company’s operational activities (blocks – Collection, Verification, Call-center, Telesales, HR).
  • Monitoring operational and financial results relative to plans and budgets.
  • Ensuring a high level of service for customers.
  • Building and managing the team.
  • Configuring the required infrastructure in areas such as Collection, Verification, Call-center, Telesales,
  • Implementing operational systems, processes, and policies to support the organization’s mission and company goals.
  • Operational reporting.
  • Experience with Webitel is desirable.
