Job Overview
Job Title: Marketing Manager, Brand, Events & Sponsorship
Reports to: Head of Marketing & Communication
Functional Level: Manager
BASIS PURPOSE:
Strategize, develop and execute marketing programs and initiatives that increase brand identity and promote brand awareness in relation to the bank’s brand image across all touch points.
Coordinate and manage internal and external events including sponsorships for the banks
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure consistent improved implementation of all brand/product awareness activities in relation to the brand image across all touch points.
- Ensure timely delivery and right execution of all brand activities and product/services campaign collaterals and below the line materials to the Branches, HQ and the market.
- Develop improved initiatives that support the products and services to the segmented markets building and enhancing the bank’s brand image.
- Innovate and propose new ways of attaining the highest brand recall possible for the the bank’s brand in the market.
- Assess the brand standards in the branches, report findings and recommend improvements.
- Ensure adherence to branding guideline standards in terms of layout and quality of materials and execution at all times including the branch.
- Coordinate and manage events and sponsorships that will showcase Equity’s products and services.
- Manage and coordinate events and sponsorships budget for the bank’s activities.
- Plan and schedule the bank’s events and sponsorships for the year.
- Recommend to line manager approval or denial for specific events and sponsorships.
- Provide monthly reports on events and sponsorship activities.
- Maintain direct contact with personnel from the various outside organizations and internal departments associated with scheduled events.
- Work with Procurement and Finance to ensure project lpo’s are out on time and vendors are piad on time as per SLA.

Knowledge
- Excellent customer service knowledge and ability to impart positive customer relations.
- Good listener, able to respond to results and consumer research and market trends.
- Excellent commercial / contextual understanding.
- Ability to take initiative and aptitude for quick learning.
- Strong attention to details and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills (both written and spoken) in English and Swahili.

Qualifications
- Holder of Advanced Diploma or University Degree or equivalent qualification in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Marketing Statistics or Research.
Experience
- 3- 5 years’ experience in in a similar position
