Manager, Public Relations, Marketing & Corporate Affairs

Nature and Scope:

The Manager, Public Relations, Marketing & Corporate Affairs is responsible for developing and implementing public relations, marketing strategies, and managing the customer care function to enhance client satisfaction in line with the customer service charter. The role also includes contributing to the development of awareness around the bank’s products and services, ensuring they are presented distinctively in the market.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement public relations, marketing, and corporate affairs strategies for the bank.
Manage customer care functions in line with the customer service charter.
Conduct customer and other stakeholders’ satisfaction surveys to understand their needs/expectations and ensure the implementation of their feedback.
Plan publicity strategies and campaigns to improve the bank’s visibility and brand image.
Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients and stakeholders to support the bank’s growth.
Handle enquiries from the public, the press, and other stakeholders.
Organize and attend promotional events such as press conferences, exhibitions, and tours.
Monitor the implementation of financed projects to ensure they meet the bank’s objectives.
Monitor social media platforms and manage the bank’s presence online.
Define and manage the bank’s brand, ensuring it is aligned with the overall business strategy.
Perform campaign management for marketing initiatives and produce promotional materials.
Develop proposals in the form of Project Concept Review Memorandum (PCRM) and submit them for approval.

Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Project Planning, Agricultural Economics, or equivalent qualifications.
A Master’s degree in a related field will be an added advantage.

Competencies Required:

Strong skills in strategic management, coordination, financial analytics, and critical thinking.
Proven experience in Public Relations, Marketing, and Corporate Affairs, especially in the financial services sector.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, manage teams, and work under tight deadlines.
Expertise in media relations, mass media issues handling, and marketing initiatives formulation.

Working Experience:

At least 6 years of demonstrable working experience in the financial services sector, particularly in Public Relations, Marketing, and Corporate Affairs.
Knowledge of the regulatory framework for the financial services sector.
