Call Center Business Development Representative

REPORTING TO: Call Center Assistant Manager

DEPARTMENT: Customer Service

Location : Various

Dar es Salaam

HOURS OF WORK:

8am – 5pm Monday to Friday. 8am – 1pm Saturdays.
Additional hours as required by workload.

PURPOSE OF JOB

The Call Center Business Development Representative will be responsible for introducing prospective clients and partners to Retail Department. Over the phone and virtually, the rep will build relationships with referral leads campaigns and prospects from organizations both large and small. Those introductions and relationships will support our branch sales efforts and will serve to maximize the size and effectiveness of our sales pipeline throughout Call Center.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

  • Supports Retail leads generation efforts with comprehensive outreach and follow-up.
  • Work across a specific geographic territory to cultivate new prospects, cross sell services, deliver sales opportunities to local branches, and reach and exceed quarterly goals.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to target prospects and build a network of key decision makers.
  • Mine existing and prospective clients for referral business both new and conversion.
  • Cultivate new prospects and cross-sell solutions to existing clients by developing and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships.
  • Partner with Communications Coordinator to develop comprehensive lead generation campaigns and outreach plans.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Two or more years of business-to-business sales experience in an outbound call center environment
  • Goal-oriented, motivated self-starter, with capacity and drive to reach and exceed goals
  • Ability to work independently and work with others
  • Demonstrated outbound calling sales ability, with assertive, positive, and persistent style
  • Ability to effectively communicate through all mediums (verbal, listening, written)
  • Ability to meet critical deadlines and work through constantly changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of Workman’s Compensation a plus
  • Experience with marketing automation software and other lead generation applications a plus

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor Degree in any related field
  • A minimum of two years outbound call center experience.
