What you’ll do
Role purpose:
- Develop and execute international payments services portfolio as per the M-Pesa strategy.
- Manage end to end the international payments product cycle.
- Enhancing customer satisfaction through effective payment solutions.
- Good Relationship management and work with different stakeholder internally and externally.
- Drive actionable commercial insights that directly/indirectly contribute to M-Pesa revenue.
- Fully participate in executing the Payment strategy in line with the M-Pesa strategy.
- Facilitate smooth and secure international financial transactions and ensuring compliance.
Key accountabilities:
- Drive the International payments strategy and grow as per the M-Pesa strategy.
- Identify and innovate service that align with the international payments, by developing services that the customer needs.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure customer awareness of the benefit of service, partnering with relevant stake holders and business satisfaction is met in daily business operations of M-Pesa.
- Manage Relationship between M-Pesa and its International Payments stakeholders.
- Continuous tracking as per the Key Performance Indicators and provide reports which guide management outcome.
Core competencies, knowledge, and experience
- Excellent analytical and logical reasoning skills translated from consumer insights.
- Excellent Customer service and experience oriented with good communication skills.
- Ability to anticipate customer, competitor, and market dynamics.
- Good project management and agile.
- Must have business Acumen skills.
- Inquisitive mindset, eager to learn and explore new payment technologies and systems.
Must have technical/professional qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Economics, Marketing or its equivalent.
- Good Knowledge of the payment’s ecosystem.
- Minimum Experience of 2 year from similar industry e.g MNO, Banks, Fintech
- Strong analytical skills and business acumen.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship management skills.
Key performance indicators:
- Growth of the International payments as Key Performance indicators.
- Meeting the commercial targets set.
- Enabling M-Pesa customers doing international merchant payments.
- Grow of the M-Pesa base.
